35-year-old Vinay Somaiya committed suicide in his office in Nagawara area of Bengaluru on Friday. In his suicide note, he accused Congress leaders of implicating him in a false case and constantly harassing him.

Vinay Somaiya was a resident of Somwarpet in Kodagu district of Karnataka and was the admin of a WhatsApp group named "Kodagina Samasayegalu". Vinay was also a BJP functionary. A controversial post related to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's legal advisor and Congress MLA AS Ponnanna was shared in this group. The post had an edited picture of the MLA in traditional Kodava attire, to which a picture of a toilet was added. Along with this, an abusive message was also written in it.

After the post surfaced, the police filed an FIR against the admin of the group and the person who shared the post. Vinay was made accused number 3, arrested, and later released on bail. However, Vinay said that despite getting relief from the court, he was being continuously harassed by Congress leaders and the police.

Serious allegations against Congress leaders in suicide note

In his suicide note, Vinay Somaiya accused Congress leader Tenira Mahena and MLA AS Ponnanna of mentally harassing him. He wrote, "For the last two months I have been very mentally disturbed. Appeal for help for the family

In the suicide note, Vinay urged BJP leaders to help his mother, wife and daughter financially and socially. He wrote, "I wanted to see my family for the last time. Now I am bidding farewell with sweet memories associated with them."
