Hathras.  In the case of stampede in Sikandrarao Satsang, police has registered a case against the main sevadar and other organizers. Police is searching for the accused. A report has been filed by Pora outpost in-charge Brajesh Pandey under Sikandrarao police station.

It is said that a program to organize a satsang of Saakar Vishwahari Bhole Baba was proposed in the middle of Fullerai Mughalgarhi village on GT Road. The main sevadar was Devprakash Madhukar, resident of New Colony Damdpura Sikandrarao and other sevadars were assistants. The organizer sought permission to gather a crowd of about 80 thousand while hiding the fact that lakhs of people used to gather in the previous programs of the said organization.

In view of which, the police administration managed the security, peace and traffic of the gathering crowd. A crowd of more than two and a half lakh devotees from various districts of the state and neighbouring states gathered to participate in the program. The conditions of permission were not followed by the organizer.

 

Due to which the traffic on GT Road was blocked. Surajpal alias Bhole Baba left the venue in his car after the discourse. Then women, men and children started clearing the dust from the path of his car. Due to the pressure of the crowd of lakhs, the devotees sitting down and bending down started getting crushed. There was a lot of shouting and screaming.

On the other side of GT Road, the crowd running and getting crushed in the water and mud filled in the fields about three meters deep was forcibly stopped by the organizing committee and the volunteers with the sticks in their hands. Due to this, the pressure of the crowd kept increasing and women, children and men kept getting crushed.

 

The police-administrative team sent the injured people to the hospital using the available resources, no help was given by the organizers and volunteers. Many people were injured due to this serious incident. Many people died. The organizers had called a large number of people for the program by hiding the size of the crowd that was to gather.

The conditions of permission for traffic control at the event venue were not followed. The evidence was hidden by picking up the belongings, clothes, shoes and slippers left behind by the devotees crushed by the crowd and throwing them in the crop in a nearby field.

A large number of innocent people have been killed and seriously injured due to the actions of the organizers and volunteers. According to Ashish Kumar, SHO of Kotwali Sikandrarao, a case has been registered in this case under sections 105, 110, 126 (2), 223, 238 of the Indian Penal Code.
