Gujarat News: Gujarat Police has registered a case against a man's wife for allegedly inciting him to commit suicide. The deceased had left a video in which he asked his family to teach his wife a lesson for his death. Police gave this information on Saturday.
According to police, Suresh Sathdiya (39) was found hanging from a noose tied to a ceiling hook in his house in Jamrala village of Botad district on December 30. An official from the Botad rural police station said the family found a video recording on Suresh's mobile phone in which he urged his wife to teach him a lesson for his death.
Case filed against wife
He said that based on the complaint of Suresh's father, an FIR was filed against the deceased's wife Jayaben on Friday. The complainant has alleged that the daughter-in-law used to harass him mentally by quarreling with his son frequently and visiting her parents' house every day.
First made a video and then gave up his life
The FIR states that Suresh went to his in-laws' house to convince his wife to return home, but when she refused to come with him, he returned home and hanged himself after recording a video. Police said a case has been registered against the woman under Section 108 (abetment to suicide) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and further investigation is underway.
Apart from this, a jawan committed suicide in Surat, Gujarat. According to the police, a CISF jawan committed suicide by shooting himself with his official weapon at Surat International Airport.
