Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said Lord Somnath is a symbol of pride in Sanatan culture. Shah said he prayed for prosperity for all while offering prayers at the Jyotirlinga temple of Lord Shiva in Gujarat on Friday.

Amit Shah performed 'flag puja' on Friday evening

Amit Shah, one of the trustees of the Shree Somnath Trust that manages the temple, performed the 'Dhwaj Puja' on Friday evening. After the ritual, the flag was hoisted on the top of the temple. Jai Shree Somnath, Amit Shah posted on Instagram on Saturday.

The first Jyotirlinga Shri Somnath Mahadev is the proud symbol of the uninterrupted, indelible and unshakable Sanatan culture. He inspires us to remain steadfast even after many struggles. After visiting and worshipping Baba Somnath, we prayed for the welfare of all and the continued prosperity of India.

Amit Shah gave instructions to the officials of Gandhinagar

The BJP said Gandhinagar MP Amit Shah directed the District Magistrate to take necessary preventive measures to prevent the spread of cholera in the Gandhinagar area.
