Ghazipur Landfill Fire Update: A massive fire broke out at the Ghazipur Landfill site in Delhi on Sunday (April 21) evening. Efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing. According to news agency ANI, efforts to control the fire are still going on. Fire was reported at Ghazipur Landfill at around 6 pm on Sunday evening and seeing the intensity of the fire, 10 fire tenders reached the spot.
Delhi Fire Service SO Naresh Kumar told ANI that the fire at the landfill was caused by gas produced at the dumping ground. Nearby residents complained about poisonous gas emanating from the burning garbage heap. Residents complained about the dense cloud of gas, saying it could have a serious impact on the elderly.

According to the latest video shared by ANI, the fire at the dumping ground could not be completely controlled even after several hours of receiving information about the fire. If seen in the video, smoke is still coming out from here. However, it is a matter of relief that till now there is no news of any casualty due to the fire. 10 fire tenders are working to extinguish the fire, out of which four have been kept on the upper part of the mountain.
