Delhi Pollution: The pollution situation in Delhi-NCR has started worsening once again. In view of this, GRAP-3 has been implemented here once again. After this, many types of restrictions will be implemented in Delhi-NCR. This is the second time in the last few months that GRAP 3 has had to be implemented in view of the worsening pollution situation.
In fact, on Friday (January 3), an increase in the level of air pollution was seen in Delhi. The 24-hour average AQI reached 371 at 4 pm. Apart from this, according to the forecasts of the India Meteorological Department and the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, the air quality condition is expected to worsen due to adverse meteorological conditions, after which instructions were given to implement GRAP 3 to prevent the situation from getting worse.
These will be banned
Let us tell you that after the implementation of GRAP 3, the use of BS 3 petrol and BS 4 diesel vehicles has been banned. However, disabled people have been exempted. Apart from this, builder projects, road construction and other construction projects have also been completely banned. As soon as the rules of GRAP 3 are implemented, construction work is stopped at all places except the most essential places, which include airport, hospital, elevated road and STP plant projects.
How will schools run?
Under Grap 3, classes up to fifth standard are required to run in a 'hybrid' (online and offline) mode. Parents and students have the option to choose online education wherever available.
When is Grap-3 implemented?
It is worth noting that the third phase is implemented when the AQI is between 401 to 450. In this, roads are cleaned every day, water is sprinkled regularly. The dust and debris coming out of construction and demolition are disposed of properly.
