Police have arrested four accused in the gang rape case of a law student in Andhra Pradesh. The accused also include the student's boyfriend. They were blackmailing her through intimate videos. Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner said that the victim's boyfriend Vamsi and his three close friends have been taken on remand by the police.
The main accused Vamsi and the student were in a relationship for more than a year. On August 13, he took the student to his friend's room in Krishna Nagar, where he had sex with her. Meanwhile, the other accused who reached there made a video of the intimate moments between Vamsi and the student.
Threat of making pornographic video viral
The accused threatened to make her obscene video viral and sexually assaulted the law student. After months of harassment, the law student attempted suicide on November 18, but was saved by her father. She shared her ordeal with the family. A police complaint was filed and the four were arrested on Tuesday.
