New Delhi. Flight Bomb Threat. Two international flights of Indigo Airlines were threatened with bombing at Mumbai airport today. Earlier, Air India flight going from Mumbai to New York was also threatened with bombing. After receiving the threat, Air India flight had to make an emergency landing at Delhi airport.
Both Indigo flights were investigated
IndiGo flight 6E 1275 from Mumbai to Muscat and IndiGo flight 6E 56 from Mumbai to Jeddah were threatened with bomb blasts. There were 258 passengers on board both IndiGo flights. However, after investigation, the flights were again sent to their destinations. According to the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), a total of three planes have received bomb threats.
What did Indigo say?
According to an IndiGo spokesperson, as soon as these two planes received bomb threats, as per security protocols, both were immediately taken away from the airport to a separate area. After this, the plane was inspected.
The process involved the airport security team, bomb disposal squad and other concerned agencies. IndiGo has said that the safety of passengers is their priority, and every step is being taken to ensure that no harm comes to the passengers.
There were 135 passengers on board the Air India flight
Air India flight was also checked after receiving bomb threat. The flight was taken to a different runway. The flights were thoroughly checked for several hours. Air India flight AI 657 had 135 passengers and crew members on board.
Threats were made on social media
Let us tell you that this morning (14 October) a threat was given to blow up trains and planes through an account named Fazluddin. The post read, "Hey Hindustani Railway, will you cry tears of blood this morning? You people have placed bombs in flights and also in train 12809. There will be a big blast before it reaches Nashik."
