Rajasthan News: A major accident was averted on Tuesday afternoon at Abu Road railway station in Sirohi district. The AC coach of the Sabarmati Daulatpur Express Train parked at the station caught fire. The fire caused panic among the passengers. Seeing fire and smoke coming out of the coach, the passengers ran outside. They informed the attendant and railway officials about the incident. The railway employees who reached the spot controlled the fire with the fire system present in the train.
After the fire was brought under control, railway employees and passengers heaved a sigh of relief. Fortunately, there was no loss of life in the incident. In the afternoon, the Sabarmati-Daulatpur Express train stopped at the station. Suddenly smoke started rising from the AC panel of coach number A-1.

Seeing the smoke, the passengers ran out of the coach. On receiving the information, the RPF and GRP along with the railway officials reached the spot. A fire engine was also called from the municipality at the spot. Fortunately, the fire was controlled in time. The reason for the fire and smoke is said to be a short circuit. GRP station officer Manoj Kumar said that the train was going from Sabarmati to Daulatpur. After stopping at the station, smoke started rising from the AC coach.

Railway employees and officials reached the spot in time. The fire was brought under control with the help of the fire system present in the train. After repairing the short circuit, the train was sent off. Railway employees and passengers also heaved a sigh of relief as the accident was averted. After the train left, the crowd of passengers dispersed from the railway station.
