A case has been registered against 134 policemen in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. These policemen are becoming an obstacle in getting justice to the victims. It is alleged that these policemen have not handed over the files related to 943 cases to the concerned officer after their transfer. Due to this, further action is not being taken in these cases. For this reason, a case has been registered against these policemen. After transfer, the policemen have to hand over the files of all the cases they are working on to another officer, but 134 policemen have not done so. If these policemen do not hand over the files related to the cases to another officer, they will be arrested.

On the orders of SSP Rakesh Kumar, an FIR has been lodged against 134 policemen including sub-inspectors in various police stations of Muzaffarpur for not handing over the charge of cases even after transfer. After registering the case, the police is engaged in further action. Section of breach of trust has been imposed on 134 officers who became an obstacle in getting justice to the victims.

What is the matter?

It was told that this matter came to light during the review of pending cases recently. After this, on the instructions of senior police officers, cases were registered in various police stations. The IO of all the accused cases were transferred from the district to another district. Along with that, they also took the investigation files of 943 criminal incidents. Due to this, hundreds of cases are pending for more than five to ten years and the victims got tired of running around for justice and sat at home.

Cases have been filed against how many officers in which police station

A case has been registered against a total of 134 police officers including 11 in Kazi Mohammadpur police station, 21 in Sadar, 27 in Brahmapura, 6 in Ahiyapur, 54 in Nagar and other police stations. All these are such police officers who were transferred to other police stations and other districts five to ten years ago, but the charge of the cases was not handed over. Due to this the investigation is getting affected. In the FIR lodged by Kazi Mohammadpur police station in-charge Ravi Kumar Gupta, it was said that after observation of the diary report it was found that the officers previously posted in Kazi Mohammadpur police station have been transferred to other police stations and districts without handing over the charge of many cases. Even after informing several times, the charge of the cases was not handed over by the concerned police officers.

File not submitted for ten years

The then inspector Bhuneshwar Singh, Fuljames Kandola, Saroj Kumar, Gopal Pandey, Radha Saran Pathak, Devendra Prasad, Ramadhar Singh, Vishwanath Jha, Dinesh Mahato, Sunil Kumar and Vijay Singh, who have been missing for more than ten years with the charge of investigation and case file in the case at Kazi Mohammadpur police station, have been made accused. In the last ten years, all these inspectors have been asked to hand over the case file through correspondence several times, but no reply was received.
