An explosion took place late Monday evening in a private farmhouse in Ansolem village in North Goa. Police say that there is no news of any casualty in this accident, but due to the explosion, cracks have appeared in many houses around the farmhouse.

A senior police officer said that around 10 pm on Monday night, a massive explosion was reported in a private house in Ansolem village of North Goa. The sound of the explosive was heard up to 4 kilometers away

The police officer also said that this warehouse full of explosives had been completely destroyed. The explosion was so powerful that the sound of the explosion was heard till Valpoi town which is located about four kilometers away from the place of the explosion.

Police say, the team has started investigating how such a large quantity of explosives was purchased. Initial reports suggested that gelatin explosives were being used in stone crusher plants located in the surrounding areas. We are interrogating a person.

Police said they would be interrogated again on Tuesday. The entire area has been sealed and a forensic team will be called for investigation.

At the same time, local MLA Devia Rane wrote on social networking site X, that an FIR will be registered against the culprits involved in the blast.

Rane said, 'People are informed that we have received a report of an explosion in Ansolem of Bhironda Panchayat, no casualties have been reported at the spot. An FIR will be registered under the Explosive Substances Act and the matter will be thoroughly investigated.
