Ayodhya: Security has been tightened in Ayodhya for Ram Navami and arrangements have been made to make the traffic smooth. Inspector General of Police (IG) Ayodhya Range Praveen Kumar said that Ayodhya has been divided into different zones and sectors for security and traffic. He said that heavy vehicles will be sent via Purvanchal Expressway so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience. Paramilitary forces will be deployed along with PAC (Territorial Armed Constabulary) and police for security.

VIP passes were cancelled

He informed that the water police, NDRF and SDRF have been put on alert around the Saryu river. All special passes for darshan of Ram Lalla in Ram temple will be cancelled from 9 am to 12 noon and general devotees will be given priority. Ayodhya Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal informed that to ensure that the devotees visiting Ayodhya on Ram Navami do not face any kind of trouble, shade and mats have been arranged at major sites including Ram temple and Hanumangarhi to protect the devotees from heat and sun.

Special arrangements have been made

Dayal said that cold drinking water will be available at all major sites. Due to the heat, ORS solution has been arranged at all temporary health centers in the fair area. The health department has set up temporary primary health centers at 14 places, in which adequate number of doctors are appointed. Apart from this, 108 ambulances are available at about seven places for immediate use in case of emergency.

Preparations have been made for a grand festival on Ram Navami and on this occasion devotees will be sprinkled with water from Saryu river through drones. Ram Mandir Trust has also decided to extend the duration of darshan in view of the increasing number of devotees.
