However, according to the Meteorological Department, in the latest forecast of IMD, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi NCR on Friday.
Rain is expected in these states
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in 17 states today. Rains are expected in Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh today.
Lightning warning in Maharashtra and Bihar
The Meteorological Department has said that storms and lightning may also strike in some of these states (Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Andaman-Nicobar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar). Talking about South India, an advisory has been issued to fishermen in the coastal areas of Karnataka not to go too much into the sea.
Rain is expected in North-East till July 15
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Kerala on July 3. There will be heavy rains in West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, and Odisha from tomorrow till July 14. Heavy rains will continue in the northeast states including Assam, and Meghalaya from tomorrow till July 15.
