Delhi Latest News: A special fogging campaign was carried out by the Delhi Municipal Corporation at Chhath Ghats in Delhi. This campaign has been carried out to destroy anti-larvae at mosquito breeding sites and to prevent and control mosquito-borne diseases.
Artificial Chhath Ghats have been made for Chhath Puja in which water will remain for two to three days, hence this fogging campaign has been done so that mosquitoes do not breed in the water and diseases do not spread.
Under this campaign, the Delhi Municipal Corporation carried out fogging at 1052 locations in all its 12 zones. The Delhi Municipal Corporation also carried out various anti-larvae measures at several locations, including ITO, Barapula Nala, Sarai Kale Khan, Siddharth Basti, Ambedkar Park, DDA Park Sangam Vihar and many other locations. Along with the fogging campaign, the Delhi Municipal Corporation also carried out a public awareness campaign aimed at making people aware about mosquito breeding.
Various anti-larva measures and special campaigns to destroy mosquito breeding sites will help prevent and control mosquito-borne diseases. The Delhi Municipal Corporation has also urged citizens to cooperate. Chhath Puja concluded on Friday with offering arghya to the rising sun. Special preparations were made in Delhi for Chhath Puja, in which many artificial Chhath Ghats have been built in different areas of Delhi.
