The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has given guidelines to increase the representation of women in the field of civil aviation. DGCA has asked all the stakeholders of this sector to emphasize on gender equality. Under this, the participation of women at various levels in India's aviation industry has to be increased to 25 percent by next year.

The target is to increase the participation of women to 25 percent

DGCA has issued a circular directing to promote gender equality based on the principles of the Indian Constitution and the International Aviation Organization. So that all sectors related to the domestic and international aviation industry provide equal opportunities to everyone on the basis of gender equality. The objective of this circular is to increase the participation of women at various levels in India's aviation industry to 25 percent by the year 2025.

All stakeholders have been advised to increase the number of women in their aviation workforce. Also, avoid gender discrimination and prejudice against women in the workplace. Also, make a zero tolerance policy against sexual harassment. There is also scope for improvement in human resource policies regarding women.

Started leadership and mentorship programs

Leadership and mentorship programs are being started to increase the workforce of women in the aviation sector. Along with this, they have been asked to break the misconceptions about women and eliminate gender discrimination so that a better environment can be created at the workplace for women employees.
