New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar has made a very controversial comment on Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election. Mani Shankar Aiyar expressed regret over Trump becoming the US President and said that a person with dubious character, who used to visit prostitutes, has become the President of the world's most powerful democratic country, America. He expressed grief over Kamala Harris' defeat.

Mani Shankar Aiyar said, "I am saddened that people have elected a person as the President of America, who has a history of having relations with prostitutes and paying them money to keep their mouths shut."

He said, "I believe that Trump is not a good person. Yes, if you ask what effect this will have on our politics, then the answer may be different, but when we look at Trump's character, I have no doubt that America has chosen the wrong person. This is my personal opinion." Iyer used derogatory words for Trump while talking to the agency.

Expressing grief over Kamala Harris's defeat, the Congress leader said, "Democrat candidate Kamala Harris, who would have probably won, would have been the first woman president of America and the first politician from India. If Kamala had won, it would have been a historic and positive step, but unfortunately she lost."

What is the matter?

Mani Shankar Aiyar has commented on Donald Trump in relation to a matter for which a case was also filed against Trump. Adult film actress Stormy Daniels had accused Trump of having physical relations with her in 2006. During the presidential election in 2016, he had also given her a huge amount of money to keep her mouth shut.

Let us tell you that this case is also pending in the court. However, Trump had claimed himself innocent in this case and accused a conspiracy against him.

These Congress leaders congratulated Trump

Apart from Mani Shankar Aiyar, Congress Party's National President Mallikarjun Kharge and MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi congratulated Donald Trump on his victory.

Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media, 'Congratulations to Donald Trump on his victory. My best wishes to you for success in your second term as the President of America. My best wishes to Kamala Harris for her future endeavours.'
