
China on Monday reacted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement. Appreciating PM Modi's statement, China said that ballet dance between the dragon and the elephant is the only option. China has reiterated its desire to work together with India. Recently, PM Modi, in a conversation with American podcaster Lex Fridman, said that both countries should give priority to dialogue instead of differences.
In the podcast, PM Modi said that tensions arose after the clash between the two armies in eastern Ladakh in 2020. Talks were held with President Xi to reduce it. After this, the situation on the India-China border became normal.
Disputes between neighbors are natural
PM Modi further said that differences between neighbours are natural. But our efforts are aimed at ensuring that differences do not turn into disputes and dialogue is given priority over differences. PM Modi also said that both the countries once contributed more than 50 percent to the global GDP. Our cooperation is not only mutually beneficial but is also necessary for global peace and prosperity.
