Uttarakhand News: On the auspicious occasion of Vijay Dashami, the date of closing of the doors of the world famous Badrinath Dham in winter is decided as per tradition. The date of closing of the doors is decided as per the Panchang calculation, in which the chief priest Rawal ji, Dharmadhikari and top officials of the temple committee are present.
On this occasion the right holders who will follow the turban tradition for the coming year are also announced. According to the belief, the right to worship in Bhu-Vaikunth Dham Badrinath is with humans for six months and with gods for six months. It is believed that for six months during winter, the worship of Lord Narayana is performed by Narad ji, the representative of gods. This year, after calendar calculations, the auspicious time for closing the doors of Badrinath Dham is 9.07 pm on Sunday, 17th November. However, the process of closing the doors will start from Wednesday, 13th November.
Know what is the process for closing the doors of Badrinath Dham
On 13th November, Wednesday, after the morning worship of Ganesh Ji, the doors of Ganesh Ji will be closed in the evening.
On 14th November, Thursday, the doors of Lord Shankar Adikedareshwar will be closed.
On 15th November, Friday, Vedas and Khadga Puja will be performed. From this day onwards, recitation of Vedas stops in the Dham. On
16th November, Mahalaxmi Puja will be performed on Saturday.
On 17th November, Lord's flower decoration will be done in the morning, after that at 9:07 pm, in Pisces Lagna, the doors of the Lord will be closed for the winter season.
On 18th November, the palanquins of Kuber and Uddhav Ji will reach Pandukeshwar.
On 19th November, after the worship, Shankaracharya Ji's palanquin will leave for Joshimath Narsingh Temple and in the evening, Lord Shankaracharya Ji's palanquin will be seated in Narsingh Temple.
