Online registration for the Char Dham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib in Uttarakhand began on Thursday. Devotees wishing to visit the Himalayan temples of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri and the Sikh shrine of Hemkund Sahib can now register by visiting the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council's website (registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in), officials said. The Char Dham Yatra will begin on April 30 with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri temples in Uttarkashi district. 

Kedarnath in Rudraprayag district will be opened for devotees on May 2, while Badrinath will be opened for devotees on May 4 and Hemkund Sahib in Chamoli district will be opened for devotees on May 25.

How to apply?

Mode of online application

  • Visit the Uttarakhand Tourism Department website https://traveltrade.uttarakhandtourism.gov.in/signup.
  • Sign up by filling in the required details like your name, address, mobile number. 
  • If you have already registered for Char Dham Yatra, you can login by getting OTP on mobile number or through password.
  • After logging in, apply for registration for Chardham Yatra. With this your application will be completed.
  • You can also register via WhatsApp. For this, you have to write 'Yatra' and send it to +91 8394833833. After this, you can complete the registration by following the instructions given.
  • You can also register through Tourist Care Uttarakhand app. 

Mode of offline application

  • Offline registration can be done at the Yatri Registration Office and Transit Camp in Haridwar and Rishikesh. For this, you will have to go to the concerned office and complete the registration process.
