Ayodhya. Champat Rai, general secretary of Ramjanmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, has clarified that not a single drop of water has dripped from the roof into the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple, nor has water entered the sanctum sanctorum from any other side. In a statement issued by him, it was told that whatever water appeared to be falling from the roof was due to the electrical wiring of the ground floor ceiling of the temple.

In Champat Rai's statement, attention has been drawn to the fact that in the temple made of stones, the PVC electric conduit pipe and junction box work on top of the stone roof. It is lowered down by making a hole in the roof, which provides lighting to the ground floor ceiling of the temple.

PVC electric conduit pipes and junction boxes are made water tight and hidden in the surface during flooring. Since, work of electricity, water proofing and flooring is in progress on the first floor, rain water accumulated in all the junction boxes, the same water fell on the ground floor with the help of conduit. On looking up, it appeared that water was dripping from the roof. The wiring work will be completed soon and then there is no question of the roof leaking.

Mysterious pavilion covered with temporary construction

The Guhad Mandap in front of the sanctum sanctorum is still under construction and its roof is to be cast in the form of a peak after the construction of the second floor is complete. However, keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees, the Guhad Mandap has been covered with a temporary structure on the first floor itself.

The work of recharge pits in the campus has also gained momentum

Champat Rai has also given information about the arrangements for drainage of rainwater in the statement. He said that work is in progress in this direction. There will be no waterlogging anywhere in the temple and Parakota complex. Recharge pits are also being constructed in the Ramjanmabhoomi complex to accommodate rainwater.

Champat Rai also informed that the construction and development of the entire Ram Janmabhoomi complex including the Ram temple is being done under the supervision of engineers from L&T and Tata Consultancy, along with Ashish Sompura, son of Chandrakant Sompura, who has been renowned in the field of temple construction for generations, and experienced craftsmen. In such a situation, there is no possibility of any deficiency in the quality of construction.
