Bengaluru: Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Sunday said there has been no response from the Central government yet on the demand for cancellation of diplomatic passport of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna in the rape case.
Parameshwara took a dig at External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's statement that the Karnataka government's request to cancel Prajwal's diplomatic passport was received on May 21. The Congress leader asked Jaishankar what happened to the letter sent by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 1.
SIT also requested cancellation of diplomatic passport
Speaking to media in Bengaluru, Home Minister Parameshwara said that after CM Siddaramaiah, the SIT formed by the state government to investigate the allegations has also written to the Centre requesting to cancel the diplomatic passport.

He said, 'The Foreign Minister has said in a statement to the media that they are taking action and they will cancel the diplomatic passports in a day or two, but we have not received any written information on this.
