Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: The controversial statement made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has now heated up in political and religious circles. Kharge had made a controversial comment about Yogi Adityanath 's saffron robes, after which now CM Yogi himself has responded to him.

CM Yogi addressed an election rally in Achalpur, Maharashtra on Tuesday. During this, he said that I am a Yogi and for a Yogi, the country comes first. Kharge ji, for you, the Congress's policy of appeasement comes first. For the last 3 days, Congress President Kharge ji is angry with me. I am saying Kharge ji, for a Yogi, the country comes first. For my leader Modi ji, the country comes first. But for you, appeasement of Congress is paramount. Kharge ji's village was a village under the Nizam of Hyderabad.

He said that when India was under British rule, the then Congress leadership remained silent along with the Muslim League. That is why the Muslim League was selectively killing Hindus at that time. Mallikarjun Kharge's village was also burnt in this fire, in which his mother and family were killed. But Kharge ji does not say this because he knows that if he says it, the Muslim vote will shift. He forgot the sacrifice of his family for the sake of vote bank.

What was the statement of the Congress President?
In fact, Mallikarjun Kharge had said about UP CM Yogi Adityanath and saints in Jharkhand that many saints have now become politicians and by wearing saffron clothes, they are spreading hatred in the society and trying to divide people.

The Congress President had said that they are spreading hatred among the people and trying to divide them. Is a statement like 'If we are divided, we will be cut' a statement by a sadhu? No sadhu can make such a statement. Terrorists can say this, not you. No sadhu of Nath sect can say such a thing. If we are afraid, we will die, we are not going to be afraid.

Allies criticized
Mallikarjun Kharge's statement, which has now become a controversy and BJP and Sant Samaj are reacting sharply to it. Mallikarjun Kharge is being accused of inciting religious sentiments. BJP and its allies also attacked Kharge's statement. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak called it the old mentality of Congress.

He said that the Congress party has always had a history of lying and creating divisions in society. Congress has never respected Hindu religion and Sanatan culture. Comparing the Congress party with Mughal invaders, Brajesh Pathak asked for an immediate apology. Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar said that the Congress has a history of gaining power by dividing people.
