CJI was furious when lawyers repeatedly asked for dates
Earlier, the CJI had reprimanded the lawyers, saying that different lawyers repeatedly bring the same matter before the bench and seek dates. The Chief Justice said that the lawyers will not be able to "mislead the court" by adopting such tricks.
The CJI had said that this is a new practice. Different lawyers appear for listing of the same case and once the judge blinks, you get a date. This is a practice that is emerging.
