After a day's holiday, the Indian stock market opened with a huge decline on Thursday. On the day of weekly expiry, Nifty fell 208.10 points or 0.81% to open at 25588.80. Nifty Bank fell 506.40 points or 0.96% to open at 52,416.20. Sensex also fell 747.57 points or 0.89% to open at 83,518.72.


During early trading, stocks of JSW Steel, ONGC, Tata Steel, NTPC and Adani Enterprises topped the list of Nifty's bullish stocks. These stocks showed a gain of up to 2%. On the other hand, stocks of BPCL, Eicher Motors, Tata Motors, Wipro and M&M topped the list of Nifty's weak stocks.
