Odisha Bus Accident: A horrific road accident occurred in Odisha on Monday (April 15). In which the bus going from Odisha to Kolkata suddenly fell down from the flyover in Jajpur district, due to which 5 people died on the spot while 40 people were injured in this accident. Police reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations, after which all the injured were admitted to the hospital.

According to police officials, this accident happened around 9 pm on Monday night in which the bus suddenly fell from the Barabati bridge of National Highway-16. There were about 50 passengers on this bus who were going to Kolkata.

Jajpur SP Vineet Aggarwal said, ‘The bus with which this accident happened was going from Puri to West Bengal. There were about 42-43 passengers in the bus, out of which about 35 people have been referred to SCB Medical College, Cuttack. According to the information, 5 people have died so far…’

Announcement of giving an amount of Rs 3 lakh to the families of the deceased

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed grief over this tragic accident. Apart from this, he has announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 3 lakh to the families of the deceased. Apart from this, no announcement has been made yet regarding the injured.
