Delhi NCR Air Pollution: The capital Delhi is suffering from the problem of pollution. The air has become poisonous even before the winter has started. Even the restrictions of Grape-3 are not able to free the city from pollution. A blanket of fog is seen in the sky. According to the report of the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's air quality deteriorated further on Sunday. In the evening, the Air Quality Index reached the 'severe' category. With the Air Quality Index being 441, Delhi became the second most polluted city in the country.
The restrictions imposed under GRAP-3 are also not having any effect on curbing pollution. The air quality index is continuously in the critical category. It is becoming difficult for people to breathe due to increasing pollution. The government is spraying water to curb pollution. Construction work has also been banned. In such a situation, the problem is increasing day by day instead of decreasing. The condition of the states adjoining Delhi is also very bad.
Grap-3 restrictions are also not affecting pollution
It has become difficult to breathe in the air of the cities of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. In Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, the air quality has crossed 300 and reached the poor category. The air quality index of cities like Panipat, Rewari, Rohtak and Sonipat is also above 300. In such a situation, people are facing problems when they go out. Cases of eye irritation and sore throat have started coming to the fore. People have started using masks to protect themselves from pollution. The blanket of fog is not clearing even in the afternoon. Visibility problems are also being faced in different areas of the capital.
