We have seen the most dangerous form of the corona virus, when people were dying due to this disaster in every corner of the world. We were not prepared for such a pandemic at all. At the same time, almost five years after the arrival of Covid, we now have another global pandemic in front of us, whose name is bird flu. A report has claimed that the bird flu pandemic will be one of the most anticipated disasters in history.

Bird flu infecting dairy herds

According to the New York Times, the H5N1 avian flu, mutating in different species, is spreading out of control among the nation's cattle, infecting nearly a third of dairy herds in California alone. Farmworkers have been spared the tragedy so far, because the virus hasn't yet cracked the genetic code to spread among humans. But seasonal flu will vastly increase the chances of that outcome.

As the cold weather forces us all to stay inside our homes and workplaces, the country is in no way prepared if the disease spreads. That would be bad enough, but we are facing these threats and all of it is severely impacted by the failure of the Biden administration. One might even say that we are not adequately prepared for this disease. The United States has reported its first known case of ampox.

The Biden administration did not work to prevent the epidemic

The Biden administration has done little to contain the pandemic and, undoubtedly, something even worse will be in its place. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Donald Trump's pick to lead the nation's vast public health agency, has already said he would not prioritize research or vaccine distribution if we faced another pandemic. Kennedy may be hastening its arrival by advocating against raw milk, which may contain high levels of the H5N1 virus and is considered a potential vehicle for its transmission.

We may be fine, as despite all the chances, viruses do not always manage to adapt to new species. But if a bird flu pandemic were to break out soon, it would be one of the most likely disasters in history.
