The encounter took place in the Gangalur area
According to the information, security forces have launched a campaign against Naxalites in Chhattisgarh. Under this operation, the team of security forces had gone to the Gangalur area, a Naxal-affected area in the Bijapur district. During this time there was an encounter between the security forces and the Naxalites.
Four Naxalites killed
It is being told that Naxalites opened fire on the security forces. Four Naxalites were killed on the spot in retaliatory firing by security forces. Apart from this, seven Naxalites were injured by bullets.
There was an encounter on Monday also
Let us tell you that on Monday there was an encounter with Naxalites in the border areas of Chhattisgarh and Telangana. A Naxalite was killed in this. The security forces had also recovered weapons from the spot.
Voting will be held in Bastar on 19th April
It is noteworthy that the first phase of voting for the Bastar Lok Sabha seat will be held on April 19. The district administration and police are on alert mode before the elections. Continuous action is being taken by the security forces against the Naxalites to conduct the elections peacefully.
