UP Electric Vehicle: People in Uttar Pradesh will no longer have to face much difficulty in charging electric vehicles. Keeping in mind the increasing number of EV vehicles in the state, now the oil companies themselves are going to provide the facility of electric charging. Charging facility will be available on expressways and highways in Lucknow and surrounding districts. According to the information, Indian Oil will provide electric charging space at 1300 more places by the year 2027.

About 6 lakh EV vehicles have been registered in UP. The company spokesperson has said that EV charging units will be installed at all important places. Indian Oil had decided to install 580 units this year. 

If we talk about Lucknow, then 17 EV charging stations have been installed in total 9 assembly constituencies here. These include Amausi Airport, Hindnagar, Kati Bahia, Junabag, Barigawan, Sushant Golf City and Aashiyana.

Subsidy on EV vehicles in UP
Let us tell you that subsidy is also available on EV vehicles in UP. Under this subsidy scheme, purchase subsidy is given as an incentive on application by customers for the purchase of electric vehicles. A portal "Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicle Purchase Subsidy Portal (upevsubsidy.in)" has been created to provide purchase subsidy incentives.

Individual purchasers will get subsidy on only one 2 wheeler or 4 wheeler or e-bus or e-goods carrier. Aggregators/fleet operator purchasers will get this purchase subsidy on purchase of maximum ten 2 wheelers or 4 wheelers and maximum five e-buses or e-goods carriers. Under this scheme, purchase subsidy will be available to any buyer only once during the effective period of this scheme.

"Purchase subsidy" will be provided in the form of reimbursement, which will be transferred directly to the buyer after verification from the dealer. In case the buyer purchases the vehicle without battery, then only 50 percent of the admissible "purchase subsidy" will be provided on it.

Projects receiving incentives under this policy will not be eligible for receiving incentives under any other policy of the state government. The incentives mentioned under this policy will be in addition to the incentives available in the scheme/policy of the Government of India. Application for providing purchase subsidy has to be submitted on the web portal upevsubsidy.in.
