RPSC Paper Leak Case: SOG has taken major action in the paper leak case of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Sub Inspector Recruitment 2021. In the action taken last Sunday (September 1), Ramuram Raika, who was a member of the commission, has been arrested. A total of five people, including Raika's son and daughter, have been detained by the SOG as accused. Earlier, Ramuram Raika was also called for questioning. 

Ramuram Raika is considered close to former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. When Vasundhara Raje became CM for the second time, she made Raika a member of the RPSC. Now, during the tenure of Bhajanlal government, he has been arrested.

Ramuram Raika is accused of giving the leaked paper of SI recruitment to his son and daughter, after which they topped the exam. SOG has informed that in this case Ramuram Raika's 26 year old daughter Shobha Raika and 27 year old son Devesh Raika have also been arrested. Apart from this, trainee ASI Manju Devi (30 years), Avinash Palsaniya (28 years) and Vijendra Kumar (41 years) have also been arrested.

The accused are on police remand till September 7, during which more information will be extracted by interrogating them. Ramuram Raika's role in RPSC from 2018 to 2022 is also being investigated.

Actually, the investigation of RPSC paper leak started when some of the trainee SIs who topped the exam could not even pass the re-examination. Ramuram Raika's daughter Shobha got the fifth rank. Whereas, son Devesh was on the 40th rank. Both were on the radar of SOG due to the suspicious role of their father. 

A police officer had said that Shobha Raika, who had scored 188 and 154 marks out of 200 in Hindi and GK papers in the first exam, could only score 24 marks in Hindi and 34 marks in GK in the re-examination. She had got a total of 343.52 marks, but she failed miserably in the re-examination. The same happened with Manju Devi and Vijendra Kumar.
