Peethadheeshwar of Bageshwar Dham Pandit Dhirendra Shastri alias Baba Bageshwar has made a big statement while addressing a gathering in Bhiwandi of Thane district adjoining Mumbai. He termed the passing of the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Parliament as a historic and proud moment for Sanatan Dharma. Baba Bageshwar said from the stage that it is the misfortune of the country that more than 200 votes were cast against the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Parliament, but despite this, the passing of the bill is a matter of pride for the Sanatanis. Shastri called it an important step taken to save Sanatan Dharma.
'Passing of the bill is a matter of pride for Sanatanis'
Addressing the people, Shastri said, 'It is the misfortune of the country that more than 200 votes were cast against the Waqf Amendment Bill. The passing of the Waqf Bill is a matter of pride for the Sanatanis. This bill has been passed to save Sanatan. When there was talk of building the Ram temple, many people used to say that a hospital should be built on that land, a school should be built, but till date no one has been heard saying that a hospital or school should be built on the land of the Waqf Board. We were afraid that the Waqf people may lay claim to the place where Maharaj ji's temple is being built.'
'Situation is being created to remove Aurangzeb's tomb'
Giving the example of Mahabharata, Dhirendra Shastri said, 'The crowd was with the Kauravas, but the Pandavas won. Some people were saying that there is a great unity against the Waqf Bill and if it is passed, they will come out on the streets. But we said that victory is for those who have Lord Krishna with them, and Krishna is with the Pandavas.' Referring to Aurangzeb, he said that some people used to remember him, but now arrangements are being made to erase his name. Baba Bageshwar also claimed that a situation is being created to remove Aurangzeb's grave.
'Maharashtra is the land where Hindu Swaraj was established'
Baba Bageshwar, while speaking about his attachment to Maharashtra, said, 'We have a special attachment to Maharashtra. This is the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This is the land of Hindutva. This is the land of revolution. This is the land of the establishment of Hindu Swaraj. This is the land of Veer Shivaji. Here in Bhiwandi, the Bageshwar Dham monastery was built which is a new sign in itself. We are confident that we will be able to bring our youth away from drugs and connect them with Sanatan culture. Mumbai is a Maya city and by promoting Sanatan here, we will be able to attract the whole country towards Sanatan, towards our culture.'
'There is no buying and selling happening in Hindu Village'
On the ongoing discussions about Hindu Village, Baba Bageshwar said, 'People have misinterpreted our concept of Hindu Village. Actually, our committee has bought land and given it to those who do not have a house. There is no purchase or sale, that is, neither anyone is buying nor selling. This committee has bought land and is giving it to people free of cost to build houses there. We did not say that non-Hindus will not get the place, we said that non-Sanatani, that is, those who do not love Sanatan Dharma, will not get land there.'
