BJP leader Sangeet Som said - Not Western UP
While BJP's former Union Minister of State Dr. Sanjeev Balyan demanded to make Western UP a separate state, BJP MLA Sangeet Som has retorted to this statement of Sanjeev Balyan. He said that not Western UP but Mini Pakistan will be formed because the population of a particular class is increasing. We will not let Pakistan be formed in India and will oppose it. The agenda of making Western Uttar Pradesh a separate state may be Sanjeev Balyan's personal agenda but it is not BJP's agenda. He has demanded that the districts of Western UP be merged with Delhi, there is no need to create a new High Court or a new Legislative Assembly. Let us tell you that Sanjeev Balyan had earlier also raised the demand to make Western UP a separate state and even then Sangeet Som had called Western UP as Mini Pakistan.
SP MLA Atul Pradhan said, UP has influence in Delhi
On the statement of former Union Minister of State Dr. Sanjeev Balyan on making western UP a separate state, SP candidate from Sardhana Assembly constituency Atul Pradhan said that UP is a big state, UP has influence in Delhi. Uttar Pradesh cannot be denied. UP is a state with 80 seats. Small and big states have their own importance. He said that Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand are also states, but UP has a different influence. It is a matter of happiness that out of 80 seats in UP, 37 MPs have won from Samajwadi Party. He said, high court bench should be given to western UP. When he was again asked whether UP should be divided or not, he said, UP has a big name and UP has given many Prime Ministers. UP should remain powerful.
What did former Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan say?
Former Union Minister of State Dr. Sanjeev Balyan, who reached Meerut for the conference of West Pradesh Nirman Sanyukt Morcha, had said that Western UP should become a separate state. The division of UP is not a fight of East, West and Bundelkhand, but Western UP is the need of the hour. Eastern Uttar Pradesh is backward even compared to Western UP. He had mentioned Uttarakhand that it was separated from us and became a state and look at its progress today, Maharashtra is smaller than us in terms of population, but look at its GDP. He had also appealed to the youth to think about Western UP and come forward. The population of UP is around 25 crores. It is backward compared to other states due to its large size.
People of Meerut came in support ?
