Apple founder Steve Jobs' wife Lauren Jobs will attend Maha Kumbh 2025. Lauren, wife of Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri of Niranjani Akhara, reached the spiritual camp on Saturday night with a 40-member team. She will be in Kumbh and is also planning to take a dip in the Ganga.

'Kamala', wearing a yellow salwar suit with a Rakshasutra in her hand and a Rudraksha rosary around her neck, was warmly welcomed at the camp. A grand trumpet was played at the reception and she was served hot masala tea in a traditional kulhar. During Kumbh, she will stay in Kalpavas and lead a simple life in the company of sadhus. Lauren Powell is among the richest women in the world.

Also visited Kashi Vishwanath temple

Lauren was given the Hindu name 'Kamala' by Kailashananda Giri - a symbol of her spiritual preoccupation. Before arriving in Prayagraj, she visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi. She was accompanied by Swami Kailashananda Giri Maharaj of the Niranjani Akhara.

Dressed in a salwar suit and a dupatta on her head, Lauren prayed from outside the main temple area. Swami Kailashananda said that according to temple tradition, no one other than a Hindu can touch the Shivling, which is why she prayed from outside the sanctum sanctorum.

'She respects me as a father and a mentor'

Spiritual guru Swami Kailashananda Giri also said, Lawrence Jobs is very religious and spiritual. She wants to know about our traditions. She respects me as a father and guru. Everyone can learn from her. Indian traditions are being accepted by the world. There is no controversy about her visit to Kashi Vishwanath temple. I want to make it very clear. I am an acharya and it is my job to follow traditions and basic principles and maintain the conduct. She is my daughter and Maharshi Vyasananda was also there.
