America is furious over the Russian attack on Ukraine on Christmas morning. US President Joe Biden condemned the attack and said that America stands firmly with Ukraine.
Biden also said that the US Defense Department would further increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Biden said, ‘In the first few hours of Christmas, Russia attacked Ukrainian cities and power plants with drones and missiles.’

Russia attacked
On Christmas morning, Russia attacked Ukraine with more than 70 missiles and more than 100 drones. A thermal power plant of Ukraine was damaged in this attack. There was a blackout in many cities of Ukraine due to this attack.
6 people were also injured in the attack. The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that the missile fired on Kharkiv was ballistic. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the incident and said that after this 5 lakh people were forced to live without heating facilities.
Frequent attacks on the power grid
- Russia is continuously targeting Ukraine's power grid.
- According to DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company, this is the 13th attack on Ukraine's power grid this year.
- The Ukrainian army has shot down around 59 Russian missiles and 54 drones.
