Bareilly.  The encroachment campaign launched after the strictness of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flopped on the very first day. On the order of the government, the Municipal Corporation has prepared a 20-day campaign, but on the very first day the campaign could not take effective action. Due to the absence of police and magistrate, the campaign remained a mere formality.

On the first day on Saturday, the corporation team went out in the city to remove encroachment. The campaign was started from the western gate of Bareilly College via the roadways bus stand to Qutubkhana market. When the team took action to remove encroachment from the roadside, the people present there started protesting. There was also an altercation regarding confiscation of goods.

There was a lot of argument between the encroachment team in-charge Lalitesh Saxena and the shopkeepers. The team left from there and reached under Mahadev Setu. There too, chaos prevailed as soon as the team was seen. There was a quarrel and argument here too when the goods were confiscated. The team that went to remove the encroachment without the magistrate and police returned after completing the formalities. As soon as the team left, encroachment happened again.

The schedule is for 20 days

Encroachment in-charge Lalitesh Kumar Saxena said that a 20-day schedule has been made for the encroachment removal campaign. The concerned police post will be informed of the place where the campaign will be conducted.

• On June 29, from Chowki Square via Ayub Khan Square to Qutubkhana Bazaar
• On July 01, from Siklapur crossing via roadways to Qutubkhana market
• On July 02, from Ayub Khan Square via Kalibari, passing under Shyamganj Bridge
• From Satellite to Satipur Square on 03 July
• From Kohadapeer Petrol Pump to Kudeshiya Bridge on 04th July
• On 05th July from Stadium Road to Selection Point via DD Puram Petrol Pump
• From Stadium Road to Adinath Chowk on 06 July
• On July 08, from Ayub Khan Square to City Railway Station via Chauphula Bridge
