New Delhi: The Hema Committee report shook the Malayalam film industry. The revelations of the entertainment industry exposed many famous stars. While many actresses talked about the sexual abuse they faced, one name in this list was that of actor Bala.

Bala was arrested by the Kadavanthra police on Monday, October 14, based on a complaint by his ex-wife. But now he has been granted bail just hours after his arrest.

The court laid down the condition

Bala's bail plea was filed before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. However, he has been granted bail under certain strict conditions. He has been specifically instructed not to make any public comments on the case and also not to talk to the media about it.

Why was Bala arrested

The 41-year-old actor and his wife got married in 2010. After this, they separated in 2019. His ex-wife is a popular singer in TV shows. After the relationship soured, both were seen fighting in public many times since 2015. Bala was accused of mental and physical torture by his daughter Avantika. After this, he was arrested under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.

Meanwhile, Bala's lawyer called the whole case a conspiracy. He said that they will proceed according to the law.

Wife had made serious allegations

Even though Bala and his wife have separated, the squabble between the two increased in the last few weeks, which resulted in this. Both of them made serious allegations against each other. Amrita had alleged that Bala lied to her about their marriage. She also made revelations about domestic abuse.

Bala had called the allegations false

The daughter had posted a video on social media alleging that Bala tortured her mentally and physically. However, Bala denied it and wrote on his social media account that it was "his most painful experience and he will not argue because a father who argues with his daughter is not a man".
