Jalaun. A loader hit a young man who was running to prepare for Agniveer recruitment. Instead of stopping, the driver kept driving the loader, the young man's belt got stuck in it and he was dragged for 10 kilometers. The young man died in the meantime.The incident took place at 8 pm on Saturday night in Sarasai village of Hamirpur on Hamirpur-Jolhupur highway. The villagers informed the police and chased the loader. It was caught 10 km away in Kadaura of Jalaun. The body was taken out there. According to the villagers, the young man did not die after the collision. If he had not been dragged, he might have survived. According to the driver, he did not know that the young man was stuck in his vehicle.

The young man went out for a run

22-year-old Prahlad Kushwaha, son of Shiv Narayan Kushwaha, resident of village Sarasai of police station Kurara in Hamirpur, was preparing for Agniveer recruitment. Like every day, he went out on Saturday night to practice running on the Hamirpur-Jolhupur highway. A loader coming from Kurara hit him from behind.

Prahlad fell on the road and his pant belt got stuck in the loader's spring. The driver increased the speed of the loader to escape. On the information of Hamirpur district police, Jalaun police became active and started checking on the highway. The driver was caught along with the loader near Kadaura bus stop, 10 km away from Sarasai. He said that he was not aware of the body being stuck. Inspector in-charge Vijay Pandey said that information has been given to Hamirpur police. Further action is being taken. According to the villagers, the speed of the loader was about 80 km per hour.
