How did Batman come to be?
It was the year 1938. DC Comics introduced its first superhero, named Superman. With the arrival of Superman, the craze for superheroes increased. After this craze, Batman was created. The credit for creating Batman goes to artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger. They created Batman after being inspired by Superman. It was first shown in the 27th issue of the comic book Detective Comics on March 30, 1939.

Batman is a fictional character of DC Comics. His real name is Bruce Wayne who is very rich and lives in Gotham city. After seeing his parents being murdered in childhood, he vows to take revenge on the murderers. Batman's look is inspired by bats. It has been highly appreciated just like Superman.

DC Films started superhero movies and the biggest hit franchise after Superman was Batman. Batman first appeared on the big screen in 1943. It was produced by Columbia Pictures. Although it was released in theaters, it was episodic. A total of 15 chapters were released in theaters, which used to come once a week. At that time, Batman was played by Lambert Hillier and he brought life to his character. This series was such a hit that it was re-released by Columbia Pictures in 1954 and 1962.
