Rampur News: A young man from Haryana, who came in contact with Jeevan Saathi.com, lured a young woman from Rampur with the promise of marriage and invited her to Visakhapatnam by sending her an air ticket. After which, he is accused of raping the girl by keeping her in a hotel. On the orders of Rampur SP Vidyasagar Mishra, Kotwali Bilaspur police has registered a case against four people including the accused young man.
A girl from Kotwali Bilaspur police station area had given an application to Rampur Superintendent of Police Vidyasagar Mishra, in which she had told that she had befriended a young man from Haryana state through a matrimonial website in January, after which both of them kept talking for many days. Along with this, after a few days, both of them also agreed to get married.
A girl was raped on the pretext of marriage
On May 4, the young man sent a plane ticket to the girl from Rampur and called her to Visakhapatnam on the pretext of meeting his family. There the young man made her stay in a hotel and raped her by luring her with the promise of marriage. After this, the woman has accused him of calling her to several different places and raping her.
After raping, the young man refused to marry
The accused kept insisting on introducing the girl to his family but every time the boy kept procrastinating. The girl said that she returned from there after a week, after which the boy came to her village on July 5. From there he took her to Nanakmatta in Uttarakhand and raped her there too, after which he left the girl at home on July 16. After this the boy refused to marry her.
Rampur SP Vidyasagar Mishra said that during the public hearing, an application was given by a woman that she came in contact with a man through a matrimonial website and then he refused to marry her. Meanwhile, the accused were booked for having relations etc. The incident was found to be true after investigation. In this regard, instructions have been given to register a case under relevant sections at Bilaspur police station. The case has been registered and investigation is underway.
