Thiruvananthapuram: The secretary of the Thiruvalla Municipality in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district has issued show-cause notices to eight employees after a video went viral on social media in which the employees are seen dancing and singing in the office.
Soon this video went viral on social media. After which it came to the notice of the Nagar Palika Secretary, who immediately issued a show cause notice to eight employees and asked them to give an explanation within three days.
When the media asked the secretary about this action, he said that he had performed his duty after knowing about this act. The employees hoped that no action would be taken against them as it was a harmless act.
However, after the notice was served on Wednesday, the employees said the reel was shot when there was no work in the office and it did not cause any inconvenience to people who had come to work or for any of their needs.
