Now, 16 years later, preparations are underway for a sequel to 3 Idiots. Rajkumar Hirani is once again bringing the trio of Ranchordas ( Aamir Khan ), Raju (Sharman Joshi), and Farhan (R. Madhavan) to the big screen. A major update has arrived regarding the film, which may bring a smile to the faces of fans waiting for a sequel.
3 Idiots 2 script locked
Rajkumar Hirani is preparing to bring the blockbuster film 3 Idiots 2. He has even locked the script. According to a report in Pinkvilla, the script has been locked and the team is very excited for it. The sequel is expected to be as funny, emotional, and meaningful as the first part. The story will continue and begin approximately 15 years after Rancho, Farhan, and Raju part ways in the climax scene of the 2009 film.
3 Idiots 2 star cast
Rajkumar Hirani had been considering 3 Idiots 2 for quite some time . He was even working on the story, but then he began working on the Dada Saheb Phalke biopic. Now that the biopic is on hold, the director has resumed work on the sequel.
It's being said that Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Kareena Kapoor Khan may play the lead roles in the sequel. The film is expected to go on floors in the second half of next year, i.e., 2026. At present, no official confirmation has been made by the makers or the stars.
