Pakistan was cheated
Actually, during the 1971 war, Pakistan had captured Group Captain Dilip Kamlakar Parulkar (retired). During this time, he was kept in a POW (Prisoner of War) camp in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, where he met two more comrades from the Indian Air Force. The names of these comrades were M.S. Garewal and Harish Singhji. The three fighters made a plan to escape from Pakistan's captivity and were successful in it.
Although it was not so easy to escape from Pakistan's captivity, but these brave sons of Mother India made a tunnel without weapons and kept on digging the tunnel while avoiding the eyes of the guards and finally the day came when they got freedom by coming out of the tunnel.
DK Parulkar not only freed himself from Pakistan's captivity but also helped his comrades to escape. DK Parulkar, who was a Group Captain, escaped from the Rawalpindi prisoner of war camp on 13 August 1972 along with his comrades Malvinder Singh Grewal and Harish Singh ji and deceived Pakistan. He has also been awarded the Vishisht Sena Medal.
