Six days before the voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in the country, Lalu Yadav's party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has released its election manifesto, which has been named 'Parivartan Patra'. It was launched by former Deputy CM and Lalu Yadav's younger son Tejashwi Yadav. 

The biggest claim in this change letter has been made regarding government jobs. Tejashwi Yadav has announced that if the Indi Alliance government is formed in the country, then one crore people will be given jobs.

Promise of government jobs to one crore people

Regarding this, Tejashwi Yadav said, 'If our alliance comes to power, we will give government jobs to one crore youth across the country, today unemployment is our biggest enemy, and people of BJP do not talk about it, they have given 2 crore jobs to the youth. We had promised to provide jobs but we do what we say and will provide 1 crore jobs.

The promise of the old pension scheme also

Not only this, Tejashwi Yadav said that we will bring back the old pension scheme and give special state status to Bihar. He also promised to provide a special package to Bihar in the change letter.

'Cylinder to every house for Rs 500'

Tejashwi Yadav said, 'If we come to power, you will start getting freedom from the clutches of unemployment on August 15. On Rakshabandhan, we will assist Rs 1 lakh to our poverty-stricken sisters. Gas cylinders will be made available at the price of Rs 500.

'200 units of free electricity

He further said, 'Bihar has the most expensive electricity, we will provide 200 units of electricity free. MSP for 10 crops was implemented across India with the recommendations of the Swaminathan Committee. Along with this, it has also been promised to withdraw Agniveer Yojana and paramilitary forces will be given martyr status after making supreme sacrifice." 

The promise of airports in many cities including Purnia

Tejashwi Yadav has promised to build five airports in Purnia, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Bhagalpur, and Raxaul to ensure good connectivity in Bihar. Along with this, he has also announced that the recommendations of the Mandal Commission will be fully implemented.

Releasing the manifesto in the press conference, RJD said, we have released the Parivartan Patra today, we have brought 24 promises for the 2024 elections. Whatever promise we make today for the development of Bihar, we will fulfill it.

It was further said, that whenever we say something, it means it, we act on it. We took forward the issues raised during the 2020 elections in the 17 months we were allowed. We gave 5 lakh government jobs. No other state can plan such facilities.

Party's national spokesperson Manoj Jha said that we conducted a caste-based survey and reorganized the reservation, we had promised such changes. We prepared the IT policy. We ensured jobs for players and athletes. We have come up with 24 promises for 2024.
