Action on request of Karnataka Government

Officials said on Thursday that the Ministry of External Affairs is processing the Karnataka government's request to cancel Prajwal's diplomatic passport. He is believed to be in Germany at present. Officials said that a show cause notice has been sent to Prajwal as part of the process to cancel his passport. This notice has been sent to him through email.

According to news agency ANI, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that the Ministry of External Affairs received the request to cancel Prajwal Revanna's passport on May 21. He said that to cancel a passport, we need a request from a judicial court or police. The Ministry of External Affairs received this request from the Karnataka government on May 21. We acted on it immediately.

What did the Foreign Minister say?

On the Congress government's allegations that the BJP was protecting Prajwal, Jaishankar said that they did not take the first step. I mean, this is not the first case when a passport is being revoked.

According to IANS, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said that Prajwal Revanna's family knows everything about him. When asked about the warning given to Prajwal Revanna by his grandfather and former Prime Minister HD Devegowda that he would be separated from the family, Siddaramaiah questioned - Has Prajwal left without informing his family? Is he not in touch with his family members?

Siddaramaiah said former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy was trying to weaken the sexual harassment allegations against his nephew Prajwal Revanna by speaking nonsense against Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and others.

Pay attention to Dada's warning Prajwal- Ji Parmeshwar

Meanwhile, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara said that Prajwal Revanna should heed his grandfather's warning and return immediately to face the law. Notably, Deve Gowda had written an open letter asking Prajwal Revanna to surrender or face the wrath of the family.
