lection Desk, New Delhi. Today is May 13, the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections. Voters will decide the fate of 1717 candidates on 96 Lok Sabha seats in 10 states. In this phase, voting is taking place on all 25 Lok Sabha seats of Andhra Pradesh. In the fourth phase, the fate of many stalwarts including six Union Ministers, a former Chief Minister, two cricketers and an actor is at stake. So let's know about them...

Ujiarpur Lok Sabha seat

Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai is contesting from Ujiarpur Lok Sabha seat of Bihar for the third time. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has fielded Alok Kumar Mehta against him. Mohan Kumar Maurya is contesting the elections on Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) ticket. A total of 13 candidates including five independents are in the fray for this seat.

Begusarai Lok Sabha seat

All eyes are on Begusarai Lok Sabha seat of Bihar. From here, BSP has fielded Chandan Kumar Das and Communist Party of India has fielded Awadhesh Kumar Rai against Union Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh. This seat has gone to CPI's account under the Indi alliance. A total of 10 candidates including three independents are in the fray.

Kheri Lok Sabha seat

Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni is contesting from Kheri Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh for the third time. In front of him, Samajwadi Party has fielded Utkarsh Verma 'Madhur' and BSP has fielded Anshay Kalra. A total of 11 candidates including two independents are in the election contest here.

Union Minister Arjun Munda is contesting from Jharkhand's Khunti Lok Sabha seat. Congress has made Kali Charan Munda its candidate and BSP has made Savitri Devi its candidate. A total of seven candidates, including two independents, are in the election contest.

Jalna Lok Sabha seat

Union Minister Danve Raosaheb Dadarao is contesting from Jalna Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra. Congress has fielded Kalyan Vaijinathrao Kale against him. Nivrutti Vishwanath Bansode is contesting on BSP ticket. A total of 26 candidates including 16 independents are contesting the elections here.

Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy is contesting for the second time from Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat of Telangana, adjacent to Hyderabad. He faces challenge from Danam Nagendra from Congress, Baswanandam Dandepu from BSP, Padma Rao T from BRS. A total of 45 candidates including 27 independents are in the fray.

Singhbhum Lok Sabha seat

The reputation of former Chief Minister Madhu Koda is at stake in Singhbhum Lok Sabha seat of Jharkhand. Actually, BJP has made his wife Geeta Koda its candidate. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has fielded Joba Majhi and BSP has fielded Pardeshi Lal Munda. A total of 15 candidates including five independents are contesting the elections.

Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat

Hyderabad is counted among the hottest seats in the country. This time BJP has played a big gamble here. Madhavi Lata has been fielded against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Congress has given ticket to Mohammad Waliullah Sameer, BSP to KS Krishna and Bharat Rashtra Samiti to Srinivas Yadav Gaddam. A total of 30 candidates, including seven independents, are contesting the elections here.

Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat

Former BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar is contesting from Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat of Telangana. In front of him, BSP has placed Marepalli Mogilaiah, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has placed its bet on Vinod Kumar Boyyanapalli and Congress has placed its bet on Velchala Rajendra Rao. A total of 28 candidates including 15 independents are in the election contest.

Beed Lok Sabha seat

All eyes are on Beed Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra. The reason for this is that Pankaja Munde has contested the elections from here on BJP ticket. Bajrang Manohar Sonawane from Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) and Siddharth Rajendra Takankar from BSP are contesting the elections. A total of 41 candidates including 29 independents are in the fray.

Kannauj Lok Sabha seat

Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is contesting from Kannauj Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh after 12 years. In front of him is the sitting MP Subrata Pathak on BJP ticket. BSP has placed its bet on Muslim candidate Imran Bin Zafar. A total of 15 candidates, including seven independents, have contested the Kannauj elections.

Baharampur Lok Sabha seat

Senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary is contesting from Baharampur Lok Sabha seat of West Bengal. Trinamool Congress (TMC) has placed its bet on cricketer Yusuf Pathan. Nirmal Kumar Saha has fielded on BJP ticket. In Baharampur, BSP has expressed confidence in Santosh Vishwas. A total of 15 candidates, including six independents, are trying their luck in the elections.

Krishnanagar Lok Sabha seat

Krishnanagar Lok Sabha seat of West Bengal remains a hot seat. Mahua Moitra is contesting from here on TMC ticket. BJP has made Amrita Rai, a member of Raja Krishnachandra Rai's family, its candidate. SM Saadi is contesting from Communist Party of India (Marxist). A total of 11 candidates including five independents are contesting here.

Bardhaman Lok Sabha seat

Cricketer Kirti Azad is contesting from here on TMC ticket. BJP has fielded Dilip Ghosh against him. Prabhunath Sah from BSP ticket and Sukriti Ghoshal from Communist Party of India (Marxist) are also in the election contest. A total of eight candidates, including two independents, are contesting in Bardhaman.

Asansol Lok Sabha seat

Shatrughan Sinha, the sitting MP from Asansol Lok Sabha seat of West Bengal, is contesting for the second time on TMC ticket. BJP has fielded SS Ahluwalia against him. Jahanara Khan from Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Sunny Kumar Sah from BSP are contesting the elections. A total of seven candidates, including two independents, are trying their luck.
