News Topical, Digital Desk : Monday saw a gathering of global leaders in the Middle East. They gathered together to explore solutions for a comprehensive Middle East peace. However, a scene was witnessed that was unusual.

In fact, during an informal meeting held at the Gaza Peace Summit in Egypt to end the war in Gaza, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a surprising demand of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. This demand surprised even Prime Minister Meloni herself.

Turkish President's special appeal to Georgia Meloni

During an informal conversation, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told the Italian Prime Minister that he would find a way for her to quit smoking. However, the question left even Giorgia Meloni surprised.

It should be noted that in a video released by the Ihlas news agency, Erdogan is seen telling Meloni, "I saw you getting off the plane. You look very beautiful. But you should quit smoking." As the Turkish president made these remarks to the Italian Prime Minister, French President Emmanuel Macron, standing next to him, tried to dash Erdogan's hopes, laughing and saying, “That's impossible!”

Georgia Meloni gave this answer

The Italian Prime Minister responded to Erdogan's comment with a brilliant response. He suggested that if she quit smoking, her sociability might decrease. Meloni replied, "I know, I know. I don't want to kill anyone."

It is noteworthy that Italian PM Giorgio Meloni said in a book based on a series of articles by journalists that smoking helped her connect with global leaders, including Tunisian President Kais Saied.
