Hanoi (Vietnam): Typhoon Yagi and subsequent heavy rains have caused massive destruction in Vietnam. A bridge over a river collapsed in Vietnam on Monday due to floods. The incident took place in Phu Tho province. This steel bridge was built over the Red River. A rescue operation was carried out on the spot. According to media reports, 10 cars and two motorcycles fell into the river. Some people were pulled out of the river and admitted to the hospital. Currently 10 people are missing.

Those who fell into the river told the whole story

Nguyen Minh Hai, who fell into the river from the bridge, said that when I fell down I was very scared. I did not know how to swim. I have escaped death. 50-year-old Pham Truong Son said that he was going on the bridge on his motorcycle. Then he heard a loud sound. Before he could understand anything, he had already fallen into the river. I felt that I was drowning at the bottom of the river. I saved my life by holding on to a banana tree.

64 killed in floods and landslides

So far 64 people have lost their lives due to storm and floods in Vietnam. A bus has also been washed away in the floods. Factories in many industrial centers have suffered heavy damage. Nine people have died in Vietnam due to storm Yagi alone. The rest of the people died in floods and landslides on Sunday and Monday.

A bus carrying 20 people was swept away in the flood

The water level of many rivers in northern Vietnam has reached the danger mark. On Monday morning, a bus carrying 20 people was swept away by a landslide in the mountainous Cao Bang province. According to Vietnam's state media, four bodies have been found from the bus. One person was rescued alive. Others are missing.
