Tehran: Iran's Intelligence Ministry said on Friday that anti-terrorism forces have arrested 14 ISIS militants in four provinces of the country. The ministry said the militants had illegally entered Iran in the past few days in an attempt to carry out operations.

The terrorists were led by the IS Khorasan group. The terrorists have been arrested in Tehran, Alborz, Fars and Khuzestan provinces. Half of them have been arrested from Fars alone. Information regarding the investigation and interrogation will be given later. The IS-Khorasan group is a regional branch of IS, which is active in South-Central Asia, mainly Afghanistan and Pakistan.
