News Topical, Digital Desk : Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has told the members of his party Tehreek-e-Insaf that if anything happens to me or my wife Bushra Bibi in jail, then Pak Army Chief Asim Munir will be responsible for it.

Imran Khan's sister Aleema Khan, who is lodged in Pakistan's Adiala Jail, has uploaded a video on social media in which she has conveyed her brother's message to PTI members.

I and my wife are being tortured: Imran Khan

Aleema Khan wrote a message on behalf of her brother on the x handle, “In the last few days, the harsh treatment meted out to me in the jail has increased even more. The same is happening with my wife Bushra Bibi. The television in her cell has also been switched off. All the basic rights of both of us - the rights that are human and legally granted to prisoners - have been suspended.”

Imran Khan has claimed that this action is being taken on the instructions of Pakistan General Asim Munir.

He further wrote, "I give clear instructions to my party that if anything happens to me in jail then Asim Munir should be held accountable."

Imran Khan further wrote, “I am ready to spend my entire life in jail, but there is no question of bowing down to tyranny and oppression. My message to the people of Pakistan is only one - do not bow down to this oppressive system under any circumstances.”

He further said that the time for talks is over - now is the time for nationwide protest.

What did Imran Khan say about Asim Munir?

Imran Khan also claimed a personal rivalry over Asim Munir. He said, "When Asim Munir was removed from the post of ISI chief, he tried to send a message to Bushra Bibi through Zulfi Bukhari (PTI leader) and request a meeting.

However, Bushra Bibi refused to meet him. Since then Asim Munir has a personal animosity towards me and now he is resorting to this cruelty to break me emotionally. From the very beginning Asim Munir's aim was to pressurise me by targeting Bushra Bibi."

Imran Khan strongly criticized Punjab (Pakistan) Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Federal Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi. He said that both of them have spread an atmosphere of oppression and fascism among the people of Punjab for the last two years. He urged his party members to completely forget personal differences and participate in the protest movement.
