News Topical, Digital Desk : Amid a tense calm following the violence in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, the administration claims everything is under control. Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party has decided to send a team of 14 people, including the Leader of the Opposition in the UP Assembly, MPs in the Lok Sabha, and former MPs, to Bareilly. This move by the SP could increase political activity in the state.

 A letter issued by Shyamlal Pal, president of the Samajwadi Party's UP unit, stated that, as directed by the party's honorable national president, Akhilesh Yadav, a Samajwadi Party delegation would travel to Bareilly on October 4, 2025. On September 26, 2025, after Friday prayers in Bareilly, members of the Muslim community were peacefully going to submit a memorandum to the District Magistrate regarding their problems.

Will report to state office – SP

The letter states that innocent people were brutally lathi-charged by the police and PAC on the way, leaving many seriously injured. Eighty-one people have been jailed, four wedding halls have been seized, and several houses and shops have been demolished by bulldozers. Three people were killed in a half-encounter by the police. The delegation will meet with the affected families and speak with the Bareilly DIG and Commissioner to resolve their problems. A report will then be submitted to the state office.

The delegation formed by SP includes Leader of Opposition in Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey, Muzaffarnagar MP Harendra Malik, Kairana MP Iqra Hasan, Sambhal MP Ziaurrahman Barq, Rampur MP Mohibullah Nadvi, MP Neeraj Maurya, former MP Virpal Singh Yadav, former MP Praveen Singh Aron, District President Shivcharan Kashyap, Metropolitan President Shamim Khan Sultani, MLA and SP State General Secretary Ataur Rahman, MLA Shahzil Islam Ansari, former Minister Bhagwat Sharan Gangwar and State Secretary Shubhalesh Yadav.
